Siddipet: RTI State Chief Information Commissioner G Chandrashekhar Reddy on Tuesday said efforts were underway to bring the number of pending RTI complaints in Telangana down to zero through district-level review meetings.

At a meeting with officials in Siddipet, Chandrashekhar Reddy appreciated the district administration for having considerably fewer pending complaints compared to other districts. He noted that nearly 17,000 complaints had piled up in the state due to vacancies in the Information Commissioner posts over the past few years.

He said the Commission was working to resolve them at the earliest.

Collector K Hymavathi, Commissioner of Police B Anuradha, Commissioners PV Srinivas Rao, B Ayodhya Reddy, Mohasina Parveen, Deshala Bhupal, and others attended the meeting.
