Hyderabad: State BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar said Union Home Minister Amit Shah would address a public meeting in Nirmal town on Friday.
Interacting with media persons before commencing his 20th day of ‘Praja Sangrama’ yatra from Banjara Thanda, Yellareddy, he said the meeting, which was being organised on the occasion of ‘Telangana Liberation Day’, would commence at 12 noon.
He asked the party activists to start from their respective areas in the morning after hoisting national flag to reach Nirmal. Sanjay said Amit Shah would first land at Nanded in Maharashtra and later reach Nirmal.
He said the party was organising the meeting to commemorate the sacrifices of freedom fighters, who fought against the Nizam and Razakars. He said the BJP has been demanding for several years now that September 17 be celebrated officially as ‘Telangana Liberation Day’.
