Telangana Anti Narcotics Bureau arrests five in drug bust

A total of 425 kg of Chloral Hydrate Drug and 1.115 kg of Alprazolam, along with two cars, were seized from them in the drug bust

Hyderabad: The Telangana Anti Narcotics Bureau and the Excise Department officials caught five persons who were transporting Chloral Hydrate and Aprazolam drugs. A total of 425 kg of Chloral Hydrate Drug and 1.115 kg of Alprazolam, along with two cars, were seized from them.

The arrested are Baspally Rama Goud (45), Burra Ramesh (36), Kottagiri Rajam (59), Ellandula Srinivas (44) and Burra Rajashekar.

“Rama Goud was arrested last year in a similar case and remanded. After his release from jail, he again formed a gang and with the help of some persons preparing Chloral Hydrate in Maharashtra, was transporting it to Telangana,” said Sandeep Shandilya, Director, Telangana Anti Narcotics Bureau.

On a tip-off, the teams of TGANB and Excise caught them in Nirmal district.
