Hyderabad: Telangana Auto Drivers Joint Action Committee (TADJAC) has called for an auto bandh on December 15 in the twin cities in protest against the alleged negligence of police and Regional Transport Authority (RTA) in stopping the neighboring districts autos plying illegally here.
Addressing media persons, TADJAC convener Mohd Amanullah Khan alleged that the Ola and Uber cab managements are plying the non-local autos under their control illegally and demanded the seizure of all such autos.
The committee also urged Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao to provide Rs.10,000 financial help to every auto driver. The convener also alleged that the traffic police and RTA have been collecting huge penalties from auto drivers forcibly in the name of challans.
