Telangana: AWCS to organise 2K Run against Chinese manja at Sanjeevaiah Park
AWCS, in collaboration with HCL Foundation’s Harit, will organise a 2K run at Sanjeevaiah Park on January 3 to raise awareness against Chinese manja, which harms birds. Registration is free, and citizens are urged to participate in large numbers.

Sangareddy: Animal Warriors Conservation Society (AWCS) in collaboration of Harit of HCL Foundation will organise 2k Run at Sanjeevaiah Park on January 3 to educate the people on the need of avoiding the use of chinese manja.
The theme was “Run for Birds to Say No To Manja”. The AWCS decided to organise the programme since the kite flying season has commenced in Hyderabad. The founder of AWCS, Pradeep Nair has called upon the citizens to participate in the run in a huge numbers and send a strong message to people.
Nair said that hundreds of birds were dying every year after they were trapped in discarded chinese manja. He observed it is the responsibility of every citizen to stay away from manja. People can contact them over 969788 7888 for registration. The registration is free.
