Hyderabad: Telangana BJP leaders and activists across the State remembered the services of Bharat Ratna awardee and former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on the latter’s 97th birth anniversary.

They organised separate programmes in each district and paid rich tributes to Vajpayee whose birthday was observed as Good Governance Day. The State unit of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) organised a seminar at the BJP State office in Nampally in which State president Bandi Sanjay Kumar, union Tourism Minister G Kishan Reddy and others took part.

Addressing the Yuva Morcha activists, Kishan Reddy recalled the services rendered by Vajpayee to the country and added that Vajpayee’s initiatives helped in registering growth in the key sectors including telecommunications and road network.
Blood donation
A blood donation camp was organised at the party city office in Barkatpura where Kishan Reddy interacted with donors and appreciated them for their noble cause. Jogulamba-Gadwal district unit organised a separate blood donation camp at Aiza mandal.

Speaking on the occasion, the leaders recalled the foundation laid by Vajpayee for making the country strong. Vajpayee devoted his life towards making India strong and developed. His development initiatives positively impacted millions of Indians, they added.

Meanwhile, Sanjay Kumar here on Saturday conducted a preparatory meeting with various organisations at the State party office in connection with his ‘deeksha’ to be organised on December 27 at Indira Park here demanding the State government issue job notification. Several senior party leaders later visited Indira Park and reviewed the arrangements being made for deeksha.
