Hyderabad: The Telangana BJP has requested Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan to use her good offices to put on hold the ‘controversial’ GO 317 and take expeditious steps to fill 1.92 lakh vacancies within a stipulated timeframe.
In a memorandum submitted to the Governor, a delegation led by the State president Bandi Sanjay Kumar said comprehensive consultations with employees’ and teachers unions should be conducted to evolve rational guidelines for transfers.
According to the delegation, the GO 317 was issued on December 6, 2021, as part of the process to effect transfers of employees.
“However, the contents of the GO were in violation of the Presidential Order and the spirit of Telangana movement.
The GO has now become the reason for trauma for over three lakh employees and their families,” he said.
