Telangana boy secures fourth rank in JEE Advanced

Hyderabad: A Hyderabad boy, Ramaswamy Santhosh Reddy, has secured all India fourth rank in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2021 results which were announced on Friday.
Santhosh Reddy also secured first rank in the General-EWS category this year.
Speaking to Telangana Today, Santhosh Reddy, a native of Pochampally, said he wants to join computer science and engineering programme at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT)-Bombay. “As IIT-B is the top institution in the country, I want to join it. After completing the programme, maybe I will take up a job,” he said.
Mridul Agarwal of IIT-Delhi Zone has topped the JEE Advanced by obtaining 348 marks out of 360 marks. Kavya Chopra of IIT Delhi zone was the top ranked female with common rank list of 98. She obtained 286 marks out of 360.
This year, 1,51,193 candidates registered for the entrance test of whom 1,41,699 appeared and 41,862 students have qualified. The JEE Advanced is conducted for admissions into various programmes offered by the Indian Institutes of Technology.
