Telangana braces for week of thundershowers, gusty winds

Hyderabad: The India Meteorological Department (IMD), Hyderabad in its weather forecast on Saturday has indicated more thundershowers along with lightning in parts of the State till March 28, interspersed with dry spells that will last for a day or two.
For March 22, the forecast looked at light to moderate rain or thundershowers very likely occurring at isolated places over Telangana. Day temperatures are likely to be below normal by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius during the next two days and gradual rise by 2 to 4 degrees Celsius during next five days.
“Thunderstorm accompanied by lightning and gusty winds very likely to occur at isolated places in Peddapalli, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Nalgonda, Suryapet, Mahabubabad, Nagarkurnool districts,” it said.
After two days of dry weather, according to the forecast, parts of the State will receive another spell of thundershowers between Wednesday, and Saturday. Thunderstorm accompanied by lightning and gusty winds are likely to occur at isolated places in Adilabad, Kumram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Jagtial, Peddapalli, Warangal, Hanamkonda, Siddipet, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Medak and Kamareddy districts.
The forecast indicated light rains accompanied by isolated thundershowers for Friday and Saturday.
