BRS leaders burning an effigy of the State government in Gajwel, protesting the suspension of party MLA G Jagadish Reddy from the Assembly.
Siddipet: BRS leaders and cadre staged a protest in Gajwel against the suspension of BRS legislator G Jagadish Reddy from the Assembly.
They burnt the effigy of the State government at the Ambedkar statue.
Speaking on the occasion, party constituency in-charge, Vanteru Prathap Reddy said Jagadish Reddy was suspended from the ongoing budget session since he was at the forefront of exposing the failures of the government.
Prathap Reddy demanded that the government explain what mistake the Suryapet MLA had made.
He said that the government was ignoring farmers’ struggles even as crops were drying up on thousands of acres due to lack of water.
He said more than 400 farmers had died by suicide in the 15 months of Congress rule. Party leaders MC Rajamouli, Md Zakiyuddin, Nawaz Meera, Benda Madhu, and others were present.
