Nagarkurnool: Attacks on Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leaders continue unabated across the State. BRS youth leader and former Market Committee Director Gajjula Paramesh was assaulted allegedly by Tourism Minister Jupally Krishna Rao followers on Thursday midnight.
Paramesh has been raising voice over the Congress government’s failure in implementing the promises made to the people. Further, on the eve of BRS MLC K Kavitha’s visit and other programmes in Kollapur, Paramesh along with other party workers, was setting up BRS party banners and flexies.
However, irked over Paramesh’s work, the Minister’s followers allegedly attacked him at Satapur village under Peddakothapally mandal on Thursday midnight. Locals immediately shifted him to a hospital, where he was given treatment. Doctors discharged him on Friday morning.
The BRS leaders complained that despite the assault on Paramesh, the police officials did not initiate any action against those involved in the attack.
BRS MLC K Kavitha visited Paramesh and assured all support from the party. She also warned the Congress leaders that any such incidents and attacks on BRS leaders would not be tolerated.
