Kumram Bheem Asifabad: BRS State general secretary Dr RS Praveen Kumar and cadres of the party were arrested in Kagaznagar on Thursday.
Praveen Kumar, apart from activists and leaders of the party, was detained and shifted to Koutala police station. The exact reason behind his arrest was not yet known. He condemned the arrest of ‘podu’ farmers from Dimda village in Chintalamanepalli when they were marching to meet Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy demanding titles to their lands in Hyderabad on Thursday.
Meanwhile, members of the party staged a sit-in in front of the police station in Koutala, demanding the immediate release of Praveen Kumar. They found fault with the police for taking the general secretary into custody without any reason. They later burnt an effigy of the government in a local bus stand.
