Telangana: BRS MLA T Harish Rao ridicules Congress government over Assembly adjournment
Slamming Legislative Affairs Minister D Sridhar Babu's request for adjournment, citing an ongoing Cabinet meeting and unprepared subject notes, Harish Rao called the request ridiculous
Hyderabad: Senior BRS MLA T Harish Rao took a dig at the Congress government over the abrupt adjournment of the Assembly just two minutes after it began.
Slamming Legislative Affairs Minister D Sridhar Babu’s request for adjournment, citing an ongoing Cabinet meeting and unprepared subject notes, Harish Rao called the request ridiculous.
“The Congress leaders were unprepared for discussions in the Assembly when in opposition earlier and are unprepared despite being in power today. When will they ever be ready?” he questioned, taking a dig at the ruling Congress.
The Assembly which began at 11 am, was adjourned in less than two minutes, till 2 pm. Both the Assembly and the Council convened for a special session to discuss and approve two reports on Socio-Economic Political Survey and SC Categorisation.
However, both Houses were adjourned, following a request from the Congress government citing the ongoing Cabinet meeting and delay in the preparation of subject notes.
