Siddipet: Former Minister T Harish Rao on Sunday announced that the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) would set up party offices in all 43 wards of Siddipet municipality to strengthen its organisational base ahead of the municipal elections due in May 2026.
Addressing the party cadre after inaugurating the office in the 20th ward, Rao said the party leadership had decided to remain active in every ward. He said the people of Telangana wanted to see former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao return to power, stating they were disillusioned with the Congress government within 21 months of its tenure.
Welcoming Congress cadre into the BRS fold on the occasion, Rao said the BRS government had given equal priority to development and welfare during its 10-year rule, which was attracting workers from the opposition. Stating that the Congress had come to power on false promises, he said Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy had left all sections of society disappointed.
Congress workers MD Imtiyaz, Mohammad Azeemoddin, Rehan, Arif, Mohin, Salman, Nawaz, Khaja Pasha, Rahim and others joined the BRS.
