Hyderabad: Cabinet Sub-Committee on Revenue Mobilisation has decided to submit a preliminary report to Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao after due consultation with various stakeholders.
The Sub-Committee met under the chairmanship of Finance Minister T Harish Rao at BRKR Bhavan here on Thursday. The committee members MA&UD Minister KT Rama Rao and Prohibition and Excise Minister V Srinivas Goud along with Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar and advisor to government (finance) GR Reddy attended the meeting.
The officials made a detailed presentation on revenue mobilisation. The committee discussed their proposals and decided to submit a preliminary report to the Chief Minister after due consultation with various stakeholders.
Another Cabinet sub-committee appointed by the Chief Minister to study the functioning of hospitals also held its first meeting under the chairmanship of Harish Rao. The committee members Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav, Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy, Prohibition and Excise Minister V Srinivas Goud, Roads and Buildings Minister Vemula Prashanth Reddy, Education Minister P Sabitha Indra Reddy and ST Welfare Minister Satyavathi Rathod along with the Chief Secretary attended the meeting.
The committee discussed with the health officials the available facilities and services in government health sector. It also discussed the steps to be taken to improve general and specialised medical services which will be beneficial for poorer sections.
Meanwhile, Cabinet sub-committee meeting on strengthening of infrastructure facilities in government schools met at BRKR Bhavan. The committee headed by Sabitha Indra Reddy discussed the steps to be taken to equip government schools with infrastructure on a par with private schools.
The committee decided to submit its recommendations to the Chief Minister for further instructions.
