Hyderabad: The Cabinet sub-committee headed by Civil Supplies Minister Gangula Kamalakar will meet on June 14 to finalise the guidelines to be followed for giving ration cards and strengthening of public distribution system apart from discussing problems of ration dealers.
In a statement, Kamalakar said the Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao instructed the department to give ration cards to all the eligible persons in the State.

The Minister said there were presently 87,54,681 ration card holder and 4,46,169 applications were still pending. The department was giving 1,78,043 metric tonnes of rice to the beneficiaries every month and in June, an additional 2,52,864 metric tonnes would be supplied to beneficiaries.
