Telangana: Cattle herder escapes leopard attack in Medak
A cattle herder in Medak’s Chegunta mandal narrowly escaped a leopard attack while protecting his goats. The leopard lunged at the herd before turning on him, but fellow herders rushed to his rescue. Forest officials have begun an inquiry

Medak: A cattle herder had a miraculous escape after being attacked by a leopard while protecting his goats near Karimnagar village in Chegunta mandal on Thursday evening.
The incident occurred when herders Patnam Chandraiah and his son Raju took their goats for grazing. A leopard suddenly pounced on the herd. Raju bravely tried to shield the animals, but the leopard turned on him. Other herders in the vicinity rushed to his aid and managed to drive the wild cat back into the forest.
Forest officials have initiated an inquiry after receiving a complaint from the herders.
