Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy to leave for Delhi for CWC meet

AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge, Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, and other senior Congress leaders are set to attend the CWC meeting. Party sources in Telangana said the agenda is likely to include discussions on the recent terror attack in Pahalgam and the Union government's move to carry out caste enumeration as part of the national census.

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy is flying to New Delhi to participate in the Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting scheduled later in the evening on Friday. A few cabinet Ministers are likely to accompany the Chief Minister on the Delhi visit.

AICC chief Mallikarjun Kharge, Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi and other senior leaders would be attending the CWC. Party sources in Telangana said the Congress leaders are expected to discuss the Pahalgam terror attack and the Union government’s decision to conduct caste enumeration as part of census.

The Chief Minister has been saying that the State government would announce its stance on the Pahalgam terror attack after the party high command’s decision. This apart, he is also expected to brief the party leaders about the BC caste census conducted in Telangana.

It is still unclear if the Chief Minister would meet any Union Ministers during his visit to New Delhi. Officials said no appointments have been sought so far. eom
