Hyderabad: After a gap of four years, former United Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister K Rosaiah’s statue will be unveiled in the city on Friday.

The statue has been installed in the ‘Rose Garden’ developed by the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) opposite Dwaraka Hotel at Lakdikapul.

Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy will unveil the statue on Friday on Rosaiah’s 92nd birth anniversary. This could be the first statue of Rosaiah unveiled in the city. He died on December 4, 2021.

In view of the inauguration at Old Saifabad PS and the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee meeting at LB Stadium on Friday, traffic restrictions have been placed at various places in the city.

Traffic coming from the Secretariat side will be diverted towards Ravindra Bhatathi. Vehicles from the Ravindra Bharathi side will be diverted towards Telugu Thalli junction. Vehicles from Nirankari junction will be diverted towards Iqabal Minar and Old Bridge Lakdi-ka-pul. Saifabad Old PS, Iqbal Minar, VV Statue, Masab Tank junction, Ravindra Bharathi, and the Telugu Thalli junction are likely to be the congestion points on the day.

Traffic curbs for TPCC meeting at LB Stadium

Traffic from the AR Petrol Pump junction will be diverted towards Nampally. Traffic coming from Basheerbagh towards AR Petrol Pump will be diverted towards SBI, Abids- Nampally station road. Vehicles from the Sujatha School lane towards Khan Lateef Khan building will be diverted towards Nampally.

RTC buses

RTC Buses plying from Ravindra Bharathi towards BJR Statue should avoid LB Stadium main gate, i.e., in front of Khan Lateef Khan Building, and take a diversion at AR Petrol (Public Gardens) bunk towards Nampally. Citizens are requested to follow traffic updates on social media @ facebook.com/HYDTP and @ HYDTP (X). In case of an emergency while traveling, call the Hyderabad Traffic Police helpline 9010203626 for travel assistance.
