Hyderabad: The city police took into custody Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president Revanth Reddy at Jubilee Hills on Thursday morning.
Revanth Reddy was on way to Gandhi Bhavan where a protest was to be held coinciding with the birthday of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao.
The followers of Revanth Reddy made attempts to prevent the police from taking him into custody. The police however shifted him to Langer Houz police station.
The police also made arrangements at Gandhi Bhavan in Nampally to prevent Congress supporters from taking out any rally.
