Telangana Congress government deprives 90 posts under women’s quota in Group-2, alleges BRS
BRS leader Dasari Usha accuses Congress government of violating women’s reservation norms in the revised Group-2 notification. She demands that the Telangana Public Service Commission rectify the imbalance, which has denied women 90 posts out of 753 available
Hyderabad: BRS leader Dasari Usha on Sunday charged the Congress government with violating women’s reservation norms in the revised Group-2 notification and denying them 90 posts.
She demanded that the TGPSC immediately rectify the imbalance and ensure women get their rightful share.
Addressing a press conference at Telangana Bhavan, Usha said out of 753 total posts, 259 should have been allotted to women as per the 33.3 per cent reservation. However, only 169 were given, leaving out 90 posts that should have gone to women.
She alleged that in the OC category, women received only 52 against 99 posts required, and not a single post was allotted to a woman in the EWS category. In the OBC category, 59 rather than 72 posts were allotted to women.
