Hyderabad: TPCC president A Revanth Reddy said minorities benefited only during Congress regime and other political parties were using them as their vote banks.

Four per cent reservation was provided to minorities during the Congress regime. While many parties supported triple talaq, CAA and other rules introduced by the NDA government, Congress was the only party to oppose these rules, he said.

Speaking at the Minority Garjana Sabha organised by the party at Indira Park here on Saturday, the TPCC president charged that every vote cast to TRS party will end up benefiting BJP party.

Former TPCC president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy alleged that there was an unholy alliance between TRS and BJP. At the regional level, both the parties fight against each other but at the national level, they support each other to derive mutual benefits, he charged.

Lashing out at the NDA government, he said the BJP was instigating communal differences among people and there was insecurity among minorities under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s rule.

In the past, Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao had promised to provide 12 per cent reservation to minorities but he had not fulfilled the promise till date, he said and appealed to the minorities not to believe in TRS party.
