Wanaparthy: Exposing the deceptive side of the Congress, the State government is laying foundation stones for works that were already launched by the previous Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) government.
In September 2023, the then Industries Minister KT Rama Rao along with Agriculture Minister S Niranjan Reddy laid the foundation stone for an oil palm factory at Sankireddypally in Kothakota mandal. The factory was to be set up at a cost of Rs.300 crore.
However, on Saturday, Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao along with Tourism Minister Jupally Krishna Rao laid the foundation for the same factory at the same place. Along with the Cabinet Ministers, Nagarkurnool MP Mallu Ravi, Planning Commission vice president G Chinna Reddy and others participated in the programme.
Meanwhile, the Nagarkurnool MP expressed displeasure over the officials for failing to follow protocol. The MP took strong objection over his pictures missing on the flexis and banners put up at the venue. Chinna Reddy’s pictures were also missing on the banners and flexis.
Apart from laying the foundation for the oil palm unit at Sankireddypally, the Ministers also participated in different programmes, including the inauguration of Primary Health Centre, Peddamandadi, laying the foundation stone for 10,000 MTs godown at Mojerla, a foundation for new agriculture market yard at Polkepahad.
