Suryapet: Congress workers from different villages in Tungaturthi constituency voiced their protests against the style of functioning of their MLA Mandula Samuel at a party meeting held on Wednesday at Suryapet District Congress party office.
A host of senior leaders and corporation chairpersons from across the State were among the attendees of the meeting. The local leaders of Congress indulged in sloganeering denouncing what they called “one man show”.
The protesting workers accused MLA Mandula Samuel of neglecting long-standing party men who fought for the party’s interests for years. They claimed that the MLA failed to recognise their contributions and excluded them from the benefits of government welfare schemes.
They resented that the MLA was distancing himself from the genuine party workers. Leaders from different villages interrupted the MLA’s speech to voice their concerns.
