Hyderabad: Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MA&UD), Minister, K T Rama Rao on Saturday said that Telangana contributed more towards nation building compared to other States that were bigger and older.
“Hyderabad is one of the fastest-growing cities in India and recently the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) released a report saying that Telangana despite being such a young State, formed just 7.5 years ago, its contribution was more compared to other more established States,” said Rama Rao, after inaugurating the flyover at Shaikpet on Saturday.
According to the RBI report the State ranks 12th in population and 11th geographically but in terms of contribution to the Indian economy, Telangana was placed as the fourth largest State,” the Minister said.
“Under the leadership of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, the State is performing better than others including several States that are much larger than Telangana,” he said and added that Hyderabad was a major contributor to the economy of Telangana.
