Hyderabad: A woman inspector working at a police station in the city was transferred and attached to Commissioner’s office for allegedly misappropriating a huge amount that was seized in a case.
The Inspector working at the cyber crime police station had recently seized around 40 lakhs in a case and instead of depositing the amount in the court kept it with herself.
The inspector reportedly used the money for some purpose and planned to deposit the amount in the court after arranging it from somewhere but failed in her plan.
The senior officials, who came to know about it ordered an internal enquiry into the issue. After the inquiry the officials submitted the report to Hyderabad CP who issued orders attaching her to CP office.
