Telangana cops ensure conviction in 39 drug cases so far this year
DGP Jitender appreciated and awarded the Investigation Officers, Court Duty Officers, and Public Prosecutors for their exceptional work in securing convictions under the NDPS Act cases

Hyderabad: A total of 39 drug-related cases ended in conviction across the state this year until now.
During the reward program organised by Telangana Anti-Narcotics Bureau at State Police Headquarters on Saturday, Jitender, Director General of Police appreciated and awarded the Investigation Officers, Court Duty Officers, and Public Prosecutors for their exceptional work in securing convictions under the NDPS Act cases.
“The State is working to achieve the zero tolerance towards the menace of drugs to become ‘Nasha Mukt Telangana’. It is very important that the Investigation Officers are fully trained to investigate the NDPS Act cases professionally,” the DGP said.
Officials said Mahabubabad, Bhadradri – Kothagudem, Warangal, Khammam, Cyberabad, Kumurambheem Asifabad and Karimnagar units had shown better results.
