Hyderabad: The Saroornagar police with the help of Jagityal police solved the kidnap case of a businessman and arrested four persons here on Tuesday.

The arrested persons are Abdul Aziz, a realtor from Jagityal, B Sunil Patil, realtor from Uppuguda, Nikhil Singh, private employee from Kukatpally and B Rajesh, a businessman from Erragadda. The prime suspect in the case Raj Bhushan from Jagityal is absconding.

Raj Bhushan, who is into maize business procured it from farmers at Korutla in Jagityal and supplied it to Nagabhushan, the businessman from Hyderabad who in turn sold it to poultry farmers on a commission basis from his office at Green Park Colony in Saroornagar.

According to the police, during business transactions, Nagabushan owed Rs 2.80 crore to Raj Bushan and due to financial issues Nagabushan delayed the payment. Due to this, Raj Bushan plotted to kidnap and collect the money.

He offered Rs 10 lakh and hired Abdul Aziz, a rowdy sheeter from Korutla to kidnap Nagabushan and on Monday evening, Aziz along with his associates came to Nagabushan’s office and kidnapped him in a car.

Following a complaint from K Satyanarayana, a worker from Nagabushan’s office, the Saroornagar police immediately formed special teams and started searching. With the help of footage from surveillance cameras, suspecting the car was being droven out of the city, they alerted Siddipet, Karimnagar and Jagtiyal district police to keep a watch on the car.

“In the wee hours of Tuesday, the Jagtiyal police team intercepted the car in which the businessman was kidnapped at Kodimyla. They informed us and the Saroornagar police team which was already tracking the vehicle reached the spot and arrested them,” said an official. The prime suspect Raj Bhushan fled from the spot.
