Hyderabad: The CPI (M) State unit has resolved to put up a relentless fight against the divisive politics of BJP and its attempts to derive political mileage by triggering communal differences.
BJP leaders were making desperate attempts to cover up the injustice and discrimination towards Telangana by the Central Government by instigating communal hatred.
Apart from depriving the rightful share of funds, sanction of projects and employment generation through such projects, efforts are being made to ensure such issues do not come up for discussions in the public domain.
This was one of the political resolutions passed by the CPI (M) during its State 3rd Conference meetings being conducted here.
The party charged that it was Congress party, which had commenced the privatization policies and the same were now being followed by the BJP government at the Centre. Congress was not prepared to fight against these policies both at the State and Centre level, it observed.
During Huzurabad elections, Congress had even ignored the prime target of defeating the BJP. The plans laid out by Congress were only to facilitate BJP candidate’s victory, the party opined.
Though, Congress party has stronghold at the village and mandal level, its main aim was to retain power than fight on public issues or BJP’s communal politics, it felt.
“Congress is only aiming at the Chief Minister’s position but does not have any commitment in safeguarding secular values,” the CPI (M) charged.
So much so, it made desperate attempts to transform an all–party programme to protest Central Government’s anti-people policies, into an anti-TRS programme and an election meeting. This opportunistic attitude of Congress party was only paving way for strengthening the BJP in the State.
The CPI (M) also charged that ruling TRS government was not according the same priority to addressing public issues as was being done for political issues.
It lacked commitment in fulfilling the poll promises. ‘Mana Ooru- Mana Pranalika’, ‘Mana Ooru – Mana Kuragayalu’ programmes were announced and left out in the midway. The latest ‘Mana Ooru- Mana Badi’ is good programme and needs to be implemented efficiently, the party observed.
