Hyderabad: CPI State Secretary and Kothagudem MLA K Sambasiva Rao slammed the Congress government for failing to fulfill the promises made to the people and demanded that the government release a white paper on the promises implementation.

If the Congress government was not committed to fulfilling the promises, it would face challenges in the local bodies’ elections, he said at a press conference here on Saturday.

“We have seen in Delhi elections. Both Aam Aadmi and Congress suffered due to self-goals,” K Sambasiva Rao said.

Many sections, including farmers and others, were facing a lot of hardships in the State. Fee imbursement, hospital pending bills, contractors bills and wages of employees were to be paid.

The government has to give some assurance over clearing the pending arrears and bills, he said, adding that failing which people would be compelled to die by suicide and this would not augur well for the government.

TGRTC employees and auto drivers were also struggling and the State government had to address their issues, he stressed.

On the caste census survey, the CPI MLA said an act had to be made in the Parliament, if not the Supreme Court ruling would turn into a hurdle.

The Congress government’s exercise would be futile unless there was legal sanctity. The State government should also fight in the Supreme Court, if it was committed for BCs reservation, he added.
