Hyderabad: The Telangana Cricket Association (TCA) will host the Telangana Premier League (TPL) and has cautioned cricketers against playing in any “tournaments or leagues” organised by the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA), which is not recognised by the BCCI, TCA general secretary D Guruva Reddy said.
At a media briefing here on Wednesday, the TCA official reiterated that the Telangana Premier League proposed by HCA does not have BCCI permission.
“TCA is going to conduct the Telangana Premier League by fulfilling all the constitutional compliances required. Hence, cricketers from Telangana can rest assured that TCA will promote them on transparent and equal-opportunity platforms to play BCCI tournaments,” he said.
TCA further stated that in the 2026–27 domestic season, it will send Telangana state teams to play in BCCI tournaments.
