Hyderabad: The Telangana Cyber Security Bureau arrested a man in West Bengal for allegedly aiding cyber fraudsters by providing them bank account details to commit scams.

The arrested Saidul Islam Khan, a resident of Purba Medinipur district in West Bengal, had opened a bank account with the company name SSR Brick Field and provided the banking credentials to fraudsters.

“A part of the amount belonging to a victim who lost Rs. 5.27 crores in trading fraud was transferred to the account opened by Islam Khan. The money was again diverted to some other accounts and later withdrawn” said TGCSB Director, Shikha Goel.

The police during investigation traced the details of the account holder and arrested him in West Bengal.

The police appealed the public to open bank accounts only for their personal use and not share or hand over the credentials to people in exchange for commission.
