Hyderabad: The Telangana delegation led by Roads and Buildings Minister Vemula Prashant Reddy on Sunday visited Jaipur as part of its study tour to examine the stone varieties and designs used in various structures in New Delhi, Agra, Jaipur and other cities over several decades. The team is conducting the study tour as per instructions of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao to check out use of variety of stones and stone designs in the new State Secretariat complex coming up.
On the third day of its tour, the delegation visited Sikandra and Maanpur in the vicinity of Jaipur. The team also visited Rambagh Palace, Maharaja Mansingh Palace, Maharani Gayatri Devi Fountain and the stone carving workshops in Maanpur among others. The Minister was accompanied by Roads and Buildings Engineer-in-Chief Ganapathi Reddy, executive engineer Shashidhar, architect Oscar and also representatives of the construction company Shapoorji Pallonji.
