Telangana: Deputy Collector calls on PJTSAU Vice-Chancellor
Vice-Chancellor Dr V Praveen Rao explained to the Deputy Collector, B Santhoshi about the university activities as well as agricultural scenario in the State.
Hyderabad: Deputy Collector B Santhoshi, wife of Colonel Santosh Babu who was killed in a clash with Chinese troops in Galwan, on Tuesday visited Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University (PJTSAU) and interacted with varsity’s Vice-Chancellor Dr V Praveen Rao and other officers.
Dr Rao explained to the Deputy Collector about the university activities as well as agricultural scenario in the State.
The State has achieved high yields in rice and other crops. Due to large scale irrigation projects taken up in the State the irrigated land has tremendously increased, Dr Rao said adding that the university has been concentrating on emerging technologies like artificial intelligence, block chain technologies, and robotics etc.
The Deputy Collector also visited several establishments of PJTSAU in Rajendranagar and interacted with teachers and students.
