Telangana DGP Jitender denies allegations of misconduct in Mulugu maoist encounter
Dismissing allegations made by the National State Civil Rights Commission that the Maoists were shot after they lost their consciousness, the DGP said it was complete misinformation.

Hyderabad: Director General of Police, Jitender on Monday condemned allegations by human rights activists regarding the encounter of Maoists in Mulugu district. He denied using poisonous substances to catch the extremists and kill them.
Dismissing allegations made by the National State Civil Rights Commission that the Maoists were shot after they lost their consciousness, the DGP said it was complete misinformation.
He revealed that this action was necessary to stop the serial killings committed by Maoists.
The DGP said that the Maoists had opened fire first on the police patrolling party, and in retaliation from the police force, resulted in the loss of lives of Maoist cadre.
Informing that the Maoists have state-of-the-art weapons, the DGP said that they stabbed to death two innocent tribal youths, Ramesh and Arjun, on pretext of informers.
To protect people, the police were conducting patrolling in the forest, when the encounters took place.
