Hyderabad: Professor and Head, Department of Psychiatry, Government Medical College, Jagtial, Dr Vishal Akula has been invited by British Indian Psychiatric Association (BIPA) for its annual conference to be held in Birmingham, United Kingdom, on July 5 and 6.

Held under the theme ‘The Future of Mental Health: Innovation, Integration, and Impact’, Dr Vishal Akula will participate in a workshop titled ‘Emerging Trends in Addiction Psychiatry’, a press release said.


The session will explore the latest advances, emerging clinical challenges, and evolving strategies in the diagnosis and management of addiction disorders. The conference will also feature presentations by leading experts from globally renowned institutions, including NIMHANS (India), McGill University (Canada), South London and Maudsley NHS Trust (UK), and the Royal College of Psychiatrists (UK).
