Telangana EAGLE Force and local police busted an interstate drug trafficking network operating between Rajasthan and Hyderabad, arresting seven persons in two cases. Police seized opium and mephedrone and identified alleged key suppliers while continuing efforts to trace others.

Hyderabad: Telangana EAGLE Force, in coordination with local police, busted an interstate drug trafficking network operating between Rajasthan and Hyderabad and arrested seven persons in two cases on Friday.
Police seized 1.031 kg of opium worth Rs 5.15 lakh and 25 grams of mephedrone valued at Rs 7.5 lakh, along with other material.
In the Miyapur case, three persons were arrested, and police identified Mahender Kumawath of Rajasthan as a key supplier. The alleged trafficking network was reportedly operating near a school, raising concerns over the safety of students.
In the Saifabad case, four Rajasthan natives were arrested while allegedly delivering MD. Police identified Harinder Devda of Jalore as an alleged kingpin. Police officials said they intercepted 78 Rajasthan-linked drug trafficking attempts since 2023. Efforts are on to trace suppliers, financiers, transporters and local peddlers.
