Telangana EAGLE Force seizes 237 kg marijuana worth Rs 1.18 crore, two arrested
Telangana EAGLE Force and Rachakonda Narcotics Police seized 237 kg of marijuana worth Rs 1.18 crore from a lorry container on NH-65. Two alleged transporters from Bihar and Pune were arrested, while the suspected suppliers remain absconding.
Hyderabad: The Telangana EAGLE Force and Rachakonda Narcotics Police seized 237 kg of marijuana worth Rs 1.18 crore from a lorry container which was intercepted on National Highway -65 near YNR Function Hall on Wednesday.
Two drug transporters identified as Rajesh Kumar of Bihar and Anil Ranganath Bichare of Pune were arrested.
Police said the duo was smuggling the contraband from Odisha to Pune on the instructions of Suresh Kedari, Dharam Shindey, and supplier Pabitra Kumar Sabar alias Pitambar Sabar, who are absconding.
A case has been registered and further investigation is on.
