Telangana EAPCET 2025 hall tickets get smart with QR codes for easy navigation to exam centres

Students simply need to scan the QR code printed on their hall tickets using a smartphone. Upon scanning, a link will open in the Google Maps app, showing the route to their exam centre. This feature also allows them to check the distance to the venue and get an estimated travel time, factoring in real-time traffic conditions.

Hyderabad: Navigating to the Telangana Engineering, Agriculture and Pharmacy Common Entrance Test (TG EAPCET) 2025 exam centres has been made easy as the hall tickets will now feature QR codes that aid candidates to navigate to their respective centres.

All that students need to do is scan the Quick Response (QR) code printed on the hall tickets with a smartphone. Once scanned, a link opens in the Google Maps application that enables students to view their route map to their exam centres. In addition, they can ascertain how far is their centre and even the estimated time it will take to reach the venue, considering traffic.

TGCHE Chairman Prof. V Balakista Reddy addressing the media

JNTU-Hyderabad Rector and TG EAPCET 2025 co-convener Dr. K Vijaya Kumar Reddy said the pre-examination process, including frisking, capturing candidate’s biometric details, registration and allotment of the system, would take about 20 minutes.

“If students reach centre exactly at 9 am or 3 pm, they will be losing crucial 20 minutes. So, students must reach well in advance to complete this process,” Dr. Reddy said.

Telangana Council of Higher Education Chairman Prof. V Balakista Reddy said elaborate arrangements have been made for smooth conduct of the entrance tests.

“The new SC categorisation reservation will be implemented in admissions for all programmes offered by higher education institutions in the State,” he said.

As many as 3,05,774 applications, including 2,19,420 for engineering, 86,101 for AM, and 253 for both, were received till the last count on Friday.

The deadline to apply with a late fee of Rs.5,000 till April 24.
