Hyderabad: Telangana’s Hanusha Durisety has been selected for the prestigious ‘Rising Technical Contributor Award’ by the Society of Women Engineers (SWE), a global professional organisation with over 47,000 members across 85 countries.

The award honours early-career professionals who have demonstrated outstanding technical expertise, innovation, and impact in the field of engineering. Recipients are recognised for their ability to deliver high-quality technical outcomes, leadership potential, and meaningful contributions to advancing engineering and technology.

Hanusha, daughter of Jagitial DSP D. Raghuchandar, completed her B.Tech from Chaitanya Bharati Institute of Technology (CBIT), Hyderabad, and went on to earn her master’s degree in engineering management from Johns Hopkins University. She was recognised for developing an artificial intelligence solution that assists users in analysing large volumes of legal documents and lease agreements. Hanusha hails from Karimnagar district.

The SWE remains committed to empowering women to reach their full potential as engineers and leaders, while upholding the values of diversity and inclusion in the sector, a press release said on Saturday.
