Hyderabad: The fee for various engineering and professional programmes offered by the private colleges in the State is all set to undergo revision with the Telangana Admission and Fee Regulatory Committee (TAFRC) planning to issue a notification for the same in the first week of December.
The move by the Committee comes as the fee revision for various professional courses is due for the next three-year block period. Once fixed, the fee will be in force for the next three academic years starting from the academic year 2022-23.
According to a senior official, except for medicine and dental courses, fee fixation notification for other professional courses would be issued.
“We will issue the notification for fee revision in the first week of December and complete the process by June next year,” the official said. The fee revision for professional colleges is done once in three years. It is fixed depending on the inflation, expenditure incurred during the last three years, infrastructure and other facilities provided to students.
The management of the private professional colleges seeking revision in the fee structure should submit applications to the TAFRC. The last time fee was fixed in 2019 which was in effect till this academic year.
