Telangana ensuring comprehensive development of villages: Errabelli

Hyderabad: Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao on Tuesday said no other State in the country can match Telangana in comprehensive development of villages.
Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao was paying special attention to rural development and had accordingly, Vaikunthadhamams, dump yards (segregation sheds) and other amenities were developed in almost all villages across the State, the Minister said during question hour in the Legislative Assembly.
So far, 12,672 Vaikunthadhamas and 12,737 dump yards have been set up in 12,769 Gram Panchayats in the State. Accordingly, Rs.1, 547 crore was spent towards construction of Vaikuntadhamams and Rs.319 crore was for dump yards, he said assuring that construction of Vaikunthadhamas and dumping yards in the remaining 147 villages will be completed by this month-end.
“There is no progress in development of villages in BJP and Congress-ruled States. On the contrary, TRS Government moving forward with a plan ensure comprehensive development of villages,” Dayakar Rao said. Nurseries have been set up in every village and a tractor has been allotted to each village to ensure sanitation. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had complimented Telangana for making good use of NREGA funds, he added.
