Telangana Excise Minister chases van for hit-and-run, hands over driver to police
After a chase of over three km, they caught hold of the driver and handed him over to the police.

Hyderabad: Exercise Minister V Srinivas Goud donned a cop’s role on Monday when he chased a van that was involved in a hit-and-run accident near Rajapur on the Bengaluru National Highway.
The incident occurred when the Minister’s convoy was heading towards Mahabubnagar. A Bolero van headed for Karnataka from Hyderabad hit a two-wheeler at Rajapur and sped away. Noticing the incident, the Minister instructed his car driver to chase the Bolero. After a chase of over three km, they caught hold of the driver and handed him over to the police.
Injured biker, Srinivas, 36, a resident of Mudireddipalli, was shifted to Rajapur PHC for first aid and was later shifted to Mahabubnagar for treatment. With his condition turning critical, he was then rushed to Hyderabad. With the Minister responding immediately, the injured got timely treatment, said local residents.
