Siddipet: Yet another farmer committed suicide by hanging at Jaligama village in Gajwel mandal on Saturday.
The tenant farmer Gudise Lakshman (29) was in deep financial trouble because he borrowed a huge amount of loans after he suffered losses in agriculture consistently over the past few years.
As the lenders insisted on repayment of loans, he committed suicide by hanging in his agricultural field on Saturday, unable to clear the debts. Lakshman was survived by his wife, Kalyani and two daughters, Vanaja (5) and Sanvika (3). Since the family was in deep financial trouble, the villagers urged the government to extend support to the family.
The police registered a case. The body was taken to the government hospital in Gajwel for a postmortem.
