Thanking the Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao for taking the decision in favor of farmers, they performed palabhishekam to the portrait of the Chief Minister across the erstwhile Karimangar district on Wednesday.

State cabinet meeting held under the aegis of the Chief Minister on Tuesday, has decided to purchase Yasangi season paddy from farmers.

State government’s decision gained significance in the wake of the union government’s refusal to purchase parboiled rice from the state even after a series of agitations as well as the entire state cabinet’s dharna at Delhi on Monday.

Hailing the state government’s decision, TRS activists and farmers celebrated the event by bursting crackers and distributing sweets.

Choppadandi MLA along with his followers celebrated the decision by bursting crackers and performing palabishekam to the portrait of the Chief Minister in Burugupalli of Gangadhara mandal.

TRS workers and farmers performed palabishekam to the portraits of the Chief Minister as well as BC Welfare and Civil Supplies Minister Gangula Kamalakar in Durshed of Karimangar constituency. Similar kinds of celebrations were held across the old Karimnagar district.
