Hyderabad: Down from 3.38 crore, Telangana is expected to have around 2.70 crore voters in the final electoral list, which is scheduled for publication on November 9.
As many as 2.31 crore electors have already been marked for inclusion in the final electoral list as of the last count on Wednesday. While 92.88 lakh voters have been served notices for not linking SIR 2002 details and anomalies in the enumeration forms, so far, 71.23 lakh notices have been cleared for the final roll. Remaining notices are at various stages.
As the filing claims and objections phase concluded on Wednesday, 27,193 Form – 7 applications have been filed, with most being from Hyderabad, Rangareddy, Medchal-Malkajgiri, Siddipet and Sangareddy districts. As many as 25,335 applications are pending.
According to Telangana Chief Electoral Office sources, with some political parties raising the issue of bulk Form-7 submission by some booth-level agents, every application will be thoroughly scrutinised before initiating any action. The claims and objections filed via Form-7 will be disposed of on or before November 5.
Further, a staggering 4.35 lakh young and eligible individuals registered seeking voter cards. Another 6,233 individuals who are NRIs have also registered for enrolment.

However, the Election Commission of India (ECI) flagged issues – anomalies and unmapped with SIR 2002 list – in forms submitted by 92,88,181 voters
“The final electoral rolls will incorporate deletions during enumeration phase, and new additions and deletions after the draft publication. After the SIR exercise, we are expecting Telangana electors to be between 2.65 crore and 2.70 crore,” sources said.
