The Fire Services Week was inaugurated at Fire Brigade Section of Ordnance Factory Medak on Monday.
Hyderabad: The Fire Services Week was inaugurated on Monday at Fire Brigade Section of Ordnance Factory Medak in the presence of Chief General Manager (CGM), Ordinance Factory of Medak, SS Prasad.
On the occasion, the CGM also hoisted the Defence Fire Service Flag, marking the commencement of the week-long observance, a press release said. The programme began with a solemn offering of tribute by laying wreaths to a dummy fireman, symbolising the brave souls who served in various fire safety roles.
The event also featured demonstration of fire-fighting equipment, showcasing the latest advancements and techniques in emergency response. Attendees included senior officers, safety officers, and members of the Fire Brigade.
In his keynote address, the CGM spoke about the importance of fire safety, preparedness, and continuous training and released safety stickers and pamphlets. Fire Service Week serves as a reminder of the critical role fire safety plays in our lives and the need for vigilance and preparedness across all sectors, CGM siad.
Fire Safety Officer Chenna Reddy and other senior department officials were present.
