Telangana: Five held for gambling in Asifabad

Five men from Bibra village in Dahegaon mandal were arrested for illegal gambling after a tip-off. Police seized Rs 5,960 from them. The task force, led by Inspector Rana Prathap, conducted the raid and handed the accused to Dahegaon police

Kumram Bheem Asifabad: Five persons were arrested by sleuths of a task force while they were allegedly involved in banned gambling on the outskirts of Bibra village in Dahegaon mandal on Sunday night. Police seized cash of Rs 5,960 from them.

Police said that Mohammad Arshad, Nitturi Durgesh, Durgam Sai Kumar, Malleboina Istari and Naini Venkati, all from Bibra, were apprehended when they were committing the prohibited act, following a tip-off. They were later handed over to Dahegaon police for further action.


Task force Inspector Rana Prathap, Sub-Inspector Raju, head constable Mohamood, constables Vijay, Ramesh and home guard Sekhar took part in the raid.
