Telangana Football Association supports injured referee with medical aid

The Telangana Football Association handed over ₹1 lakh to referee Syed Ameer Ali Sajid for medical treatment after a road accident. Public donations are encouraged via PhonePe for further support

Hyderabad: Telangana Football Association (TFA) secretary G P Phalguna, along with Coaches Committee Chairman Yedukondalu and Head of Grassroots Khaleel Rahman, handed over a cheque of Rs 1 lakh towards medical expenses to Syed Ameer Ali Sajid, a senior referee of the TFA who was involved in a serious road accident along with his two sons, aged 11 and 13.

Sajid sustained a deep cut and a fracture on his foot, and all three are currently undergoing treatment in hospital.


Phalguna said that anyone interested in helping the injured referee may extend financial support directly via PhonePe UPI: 8374944047 (linked to Mr Sajid’s number).
