Telangana Formation Day celebrated with patriotic fervour across Karimnagar district
Ministers, MLAs, officials, and party representatives participated in various programmes organised on the occassion
Karimnagar: Telangana Formation Day was celebrated on a grand scale across the erstwhile Karimnagar district on Monday, with Ministers, MLAs, officials, and party representatives participating in various programmes.
IT and Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu took part in the official State event held at the Police Parade Grounds in Karimnagar. On the occasion, he felicitated the families of Telangana martyrs and distributed house site pattas under the Indiramma housing scheme.
Government Whips and MLAs Adi Srinivas and Adluri Laxman Kumar participated in celebrations held in Sircilla and Jagtial, respectively. State Women’s Commission chairperson Nerella Sharadha attended the celebrations in Peddapalli, where guests also felicitated participants.
Union Minister of State for Home Bandi Sanjay Kumar hoisted the tricolour at his office in Karimnagar. BRS district presidents also took part in programmes organised in their respective constituencies.
The day was also marked with celebrations at the National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) in Ramagundam.
